“You will stay here where it’s safe.”

“And do you think it will stay safe for much longer?” Neterra snapped. “We are on the brink of a war.  We only need one thing to happen to push us in, something like the death of Prince Ramous.”

“There are other people,” Kayo implored. “Who are trained to do what you so lightly wish for yourself. Who have less to lose if they are caught.”

“What makes you think, for even a moment, that I would let the truth about who I am known,” Neterra hissed. 

Princess Neterra will give up anything to protect the Combined Kingdom—even her nobility.

In a land where the magical are hated and the government would like nothing more than to see her kingdom perish, Neterra must masquerade as a servant to protect the heir. He is her only chance at maintaining the fragile peace her parents have created.

Neterra finds herself in a world of secrets and intrigue, and without her name to protect her, danger lurks in each courtly smile and gentlemanly gesture.
